Seasonal Seed & Agronomy Associate

With Potential to Grow Into Full-Time Role

Location: Rural Havelock/Rolfe, IA

Do you know your way around a farm and enjoy helping customers? We’re looking for a seasonal team member to manage our Pioneer® brand seed shed.

This is an opportunity to build relationships and learn the seed and sales business. This position has an opportunity to eventually (within the next 1-2 years) grow into a full-time sales role for the right candidate covering seed, crop protection, and biologicals.

Position Details

• Seasonal position working primarily full-time from March through June

• Flexible working hours outside of planting season (as needed and agreed upon) that may include farm machinery operation

What You’ll Do

• Manage daily operations of the Pioneer® seed shed

• Provide top-notch customer service that goes above and beyond

• Assist customers with orders, pickups, and deliveries

• Operate a forklift and maintain an organized facility

• Support the sales team with seed, crop protection products, biologicals, and crop insurance solutions

• Build strong relationships with local growers

• Help create a hardworking, positive atmosphere

Who We’re Looking For

• Great communication skills and customer-first mindset

• Strong work ethic and a positive, dependable attitude

• Ability to work long hours from March-June

• Forklift experience (or willingness to learn quickly)

• Farming or ag background strongly preferred

• Sense of humor

• Previous ag sales experience is a plus

• Ability to operate farm machinery and equipment is a plus

• This would be the perfect opportunity for someone who currently has a side gig but needs some extra work to fill the gap between March-June. Flexible (as-needed) hours outside of planting season.

• If interested in potential full-time role, preferred candidate has an established network of farmer relationships to hit the ground running in sales.
